Si les avocats français et l’ambassade de France au Gabon, n’ont pas pu prévenir l’incarcération de Sylvia Bongo, Lee White en homme intelligent a compris qu’il n’avait aucune chance de s’en sortir. Il lui fallait donc rentrer se ressourcer au village.

 

Le village ici ne sera pas son Mekambo tant aimé, mais sa Grande Bretagne natale. Au Gabon, apparemment, après s’être enrichis, nos compatriotes venus d’ailleurs se souviennent toujours du fait qu’ils ne soient pas si Gabonais que ça.

 

Si Lee White aimait tant la Lopé, les éléphants, notre faune et notre flore, il aurait tranquillement attendu la suite des évènements en vaquant a ses occupations au Gabon. Mais non, à la première escarmouche, celui qui criait son amour et loyauté au régime Ali Bongo hier, a fui le Gabon pour retrouver la protection de sa mère patrie, la Grande Bretagne.

 

Quand on est accusé de complicité d’exploitation illégale de bois et de détournement de fonds, il est plus prudent d’être à Londres qu’à Libreville.

 

C’est à cause de ces faits que la plupart des citoyens Gabonais pensent que ce qui motive les étrangers vivant au Gabon, c’est de s’enrichir au plus vite, au détriment de la population locale ; et qu’ils ne cherchent pas à établir de vrais liens et racines avec le pays.
