SOME MAYHEM IN GABONESE FREEMASONRY! DU GRABUGE DANS LA FRANC-MAÇONNERIE GABONAISE!

Following the ousting of Ali Bongo on August 30, 2023, the consensus within the Masonic family of Gabon was that the position of Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Gabon should go to Jacques-Denis Tsanga, the current governor of Haut-Ogooué.

 

The formal election is taking place this Wednesday, January 17, 2024 and there are doubts about its outcome.

 

The problem would be that Lin Mombo, the husband of Marie-Madeleine Mborantsuo, who was the number two of Gabonese Freemasons under Ali Bongo; who was number 1 in fact since Ali Bongo was a lazy master, wanted to keep his position as number two in this hierarchy under Jacques-Denis Tsanga. But since the political situation has changed in Gabon, the latter would not want Lin Mombo as his deputy.

 

Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema is said to be wary of Lin Mombo and would like to have him replaced by someone more acceptable for the transition. Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema has little knowledge of this Masonic issue, and he has kept his distance from it, even though he supports the Jacques-Denis Tsanga camp through an intermediary.

 

The configuration of the new leadership team of the Gabonese Freemasons will be known this Wednesday in the early evening, and it should be noted that Ali Bongo has still not submitted his resignation. He will therefore be deposed, as he was by the coup d'état of August 30, 2023.

Suite au déboulonnage d’Ali Bongo, le 30 Aout 2023, le consensus au sein de famille maçonnique du Gabon voulait que le poste de Grand maître de la Grande Loge du Gabon revienne à Jacques-Denis Tsanga, l’actuel gouverneur du Haut-Ogooué.

 

L’élection formelle se déroule ce mercredi, 17 janvier 2024 et il y a des doutes quant à son issue.

 

Le problème serait que Lin Mombo, l’époux de Marie-Madeleine Mborantsuo, qui était le numéro deux des francs-maçons Gabonais sous Ali Bongo ; dont en fait numéro 1 vu qu’Ali Bongo était un maitre fainéant, voulait conserver son poste de numéro deux de cette hiérarchie sous Jacques-Denis Tsanga. Mais la donne politique ayant change au Gabon, ce dernier ne voudrait pas de Lin Mombo comme adjoint.

 

Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema se méfierait de Lin Mombo et voudrait le faire remplacer par quelqu’un de plus acceptable pour la transition. Maitrisant peu ce dossier maconnique, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema s’en tient éloigné, même s’il soutien par intermédiaire, le camp Jacques-Denis Tsanga.

 

La configuration de la nouvelle équipe dirigeante des francs-maçons Gabonais sera connue ce mercredi en début de soirée, et il convient de signaler qu’Ali Bongo n’a toujours pas présenté sa démission. Il sera donc déchu, comme il l’a été par le coup d’Etat du 30 Aout 2023.
