An article in Gabonreview tells us that the French in Gabon, in their majority, have decided to distance themselves from the remarks made by Manuel Valls about Ali Bongo.

When one looks at the origin and evolution of the French community historically based in Gabon, this posture should not come as a surprise because these French are mostly coming from right-wing circles eager to preserve their privileges in Africa; and this through dictators being in their pocket and muzzling African populations. Ali Bongo is their man! They do not come to Africa in search of democracy, but of rapid enrichment.

To give you an idea of the ideology that animates the French of Gabon, let us look at the statistics of the French of Gabon vote during the French presidential election of 2012 which saw François Hollande be elected president of the French republic.

There were five polling stations serving the French citizens of Gabon and Sao Tome and Principe. There were a total of 6800 voters, the results were as follows:

Nicolas Sarkozy: 46%

Francois Hollande: 28%

Marine Le Pen: 10%

Eva Joly: 3%

Jean-Luc Melenchon: 5%

Other: 8%

In all, the right (Le Pen + Sarkozy) obtained 56% against 36% in Gabon for the Left (Holland, Joly, Melenchon); a difference of 20%. In electoral terms, it is called a land slide!

Un article de Gabonreview nous fait état du fait que les français du Gabon, dans leur majorité, aient tenu à prendre leurs distances par rapport aux propos tenus par Manuel Valls au sujet d’Ali Bongo.

Quand on connait l’origine et l’évolution de la communauté française historiquement installée au Gabon, cette posture ne devrait étonner personne car ces Français sont pour la plupart issus des milieux de droite désireux de préserver leurs privilèges en Afrique et cela par le truchement de dictateurs leur étant acquis et muselant les populations africaines. Ali Bongo est donc leur homme ! Ils ne viennent pas en Afrique à la recherche de démocratie, mais d’enrichissement rapide.

Pour vous donner une idée de l’idéologie qui anime les Français du Gabon, regardons les statistiques du vote des Français du Gabon, lors de l’élection présidentielle française de 2012 qui a vu Francois Hollande être élu président de la république française.

Il y avait 5 bureaux de vote servant les ressortissants Français du Gabon et de Sao-Tomé et Principe. Il y avait au total 6800 votants dont les résultats ont été les suivants :
