In an article whose title was: "THE CIVIL WARS OF THE GABONESE OPPOSITION: FORWARD TO THE PAST", published some time ago in the too governmental daily L'Union, Flavien Énongoué, a professor at the University of Libreville, but especially an Advisor to Ali Bongo, who never misses an opportunity to tell him how he finds him particularly awesome; wrote the following:

"Tomorrow in 2016 as in yesterday in 2009 and the day before in 1993, through 2005 and 1998; there will be no single opposition candidate; unless a political miracle has taken place, demonstrating that Gabon has changed without my knowledge, and that has ended spectacularly, what I need to call here, barely exaggerating, the civil wars of the Gabonese opposition, in echoes to what was written by Alain Duhamel last year, about the quarrels within the French right under the Fifth Republic: "there people do not confront each other normally, they do not fight loyally. They only know duels to death, small Murders among friends, absolute betrayal, eternal feuds, eternal hatreds, in short civil wars "(A. Today, after the joining of Casimir Oye-Mba and Guy Nzouba-Ndama to the candidacy of Jean Ping, the same Flavien Énongoué, may be overtaken by amnesia about his own political predictions, has poured himself in these terms on Radio France Internationale:

"These joining are not an event, as they are trying to say, this is nothing more than an electoral alliance."

Dear readers, as was said by a thinker, with incoherent people just give them time and they will tell you anything and the opposite. How can we take seriously a man like Flavien Énongoué, who not too long ago, all teeth out, from the top of his supposed encyclopedic knowledge, declared loudly in an article published in L’Union that never, ever, would there be in Gabon the embryo of a single candidacy from the opposition; then the day after coalescing joining of various members of the opposition around a single candidate, comes the hand on his heart, to say that these are not rallying event. Instead of simply admitting that he had been mistaken in his reading of the political evolution of Gabon, Flavien Énongoué wants to play games.

In the regime’s camp, intellectual honesty seems to have buggered off. Instead of simply admitting to have been wrong about the events, people like Flavien Énongoué want to pretend that the events about which they are wrong are non-events or sub-events.

What a shame for people who openly say that they are academics. What does it cost him to admit that his previous analysis was bogus?

Dans un article dont le titre était : «LES GUERRES CIVILES DE L’OPPOSITION GABONAISE : EN AVANT VERS LE PASSÉ », paru il y a quelques temps dans le trop gouvernemental quotidien L’Union, Flavien Énongoué, professeur à l’Université de Libreville et surtout Conseiller d’Ali Bongo, qui ne manque jamais une occasion d’affirmer à qui de droit combien il trouve son plumage particulièrement beau ; a écrit ce qui suit :

« Demain, en 2016, comme hier en 2009 et avant-hier en 1993, en passant par 2005 et 1998, il n’y aura pas de candidat unique de l’opposition ; sauf un miracle politique témoignant de ce que le Gabon a changé à mon insu, et qu’a pris spectaculairement fin ce que j’ai requis d’appeler ici, en exagérant à peine, les guerres civiles de l’opposition gabonaise, en échos à ce qu’a écrit Alain Duhamel, l’année dernière, à propos des querelles au sein de la droite française sous la Vème République : « On ne s’y affronte pas à la régulière, on ne s’y combat pas à la loyale. On n’y connait que les duels à mort, les petits meurtres entre amis, les trahisons absolues, les vendettas éternelles, les haines recuites, bref les guerres civiles » (A. Duhamel, Une histoire personnelle de la Vème République, Paris, Plon/Points, 2014, p.299). »

Aujourd’hui, après les ralliements de Casimir Oye-Mba et de Guy Nzouba-Ndama à la candidature de Jean Ping, le même Flavien Énongoué, peut être pris d’amnésie à propos de ses propres prédictions politiques, s’est épanché en ces termes sur Radio France Internationale:

«Ces ralliements constituent non pas un évènement, comme on tente de le dire, il s’agit rien de moins que d’une alliance électorale. »

Chers lecteurs, comme avait dit un penseur, avec les gens incohérents il faut juste leur laisser le temps et ils vous diront tout et son contraire. Comment peut-on prendre au sérieux un bonhomme comme Flavien Énongoué qui, il y a quelques temps, toutes dents dehors, du haut de son supposé savoir encyclopédique, déclarait haut et fort dans un article publié dans L’Union que jamais au grand jamais ne verrait-on au Gabon l’embryon d’une candidature unique de l’opposition ; puis au lendemain de ralliements coalescents autour d’une seule candidature, se dérobe la main sur le cœur, en disant que ces ralliement sont un non évènement. Au lieu d’avouer simplement de s’être trompé dans sa lecture de l’évolution politique du Gabon, Flavien Énongoué veut jouer les intéressants.

Dans le camp du régime, l’honnêteté intellectuelle semble avoir foutu le camp. Au lieu de simplement avouer avoir été pris de court par les évènements, des gens comme Flavien Énongoué veulent prétendre que les évènements sur lesquels ils se sont trompés soient des non-événements ou sous-évènements.

Comme c’est dommage pour des gens qui ostensiblement se disent universitaires. Qu’est-ce que ça lui coute d’avouer que son analyse précédente était bidon ?
