The White House, through its spokesperson, Jen Psaki, has just said on Tuesday April 6, 2021, that it will not impose a Covid-19 passport for traveling around the United States. She said the Biden administration does not support, and will not support, a system that requires people to absolutely have a vaccination certificate in order to move freely.

 

The argument used by the federal government has been that the personal data and rights of Americans should be protected, and therefore medical information should not be used against people unfairly. In addition, Jen Psaki also said that several countries have implemented or are considering establishing a health passport showing that an individual has been vaccinated against COVID-19, in order to facilitate the resumption of large gatherings and travel; but this idea could create possible discrimination and violation of the protection of private data.

La Maison-Blanche, par la voix de son Porte-Parole, Jen Psaki, vient d’affirmer le mardi 6 Avril 2021, qu'elle n'imposera pas de passeport Covid-19 pour circuler aux USA. Elle a déclaré que l’administration Biden ne soutient pas, et ne soutiendra pas, un système qui demanderait aux gens d'avoir absolument un certificat de vaccination pour pouvoir circuler librement.

 

L’argument utilisé par le gouvernement fédéral a été de dire que les données personnelles et les droits des Américains devaient être protégés, et donc que les informations médicales ne devaient pas être utilisées contre les gens de façon injuste. En outre, Jen Psaki a aussi dit que plusieurs pays ont mis en place ou envisagent d'instaurer un passeport sanitaire montrant qu'un individu a été vacciné contre la COVID-19, afin de faciliter la reprise des grands rassemblements et les voyages ; mais cette idée pourrait créer de possibles discriminations et violation de la protection des données privées.
