ALI BONGO, THE PHANTOM PRESIDENT! ALI BONGO, LE PRÉSIDENT FANTÔME !

All Gabonese, from children to the elderly, know that Ali Bongo's health now leaves little doubt as to his ability to exercise power. But at the head of the State, we are being entertained to a comedy that seeks to keep him at the head of the country, by claiming that the guy, invisible for more than 2 years, is in fact sparkling with health. This parody no longer amuses anybody.

 

There are still here and there, a few optimists who still hope that the Bongo clan would eventually be on the side of reason, and publicly acknowledge Ali Bongo's invalidity and declare the power vacuum and an open and transparent transition process. To these people, is opposed the realpolitik of the hawks of the clan who want at all costs, to retain power without which they would be nothing.

 

So dear readers, the hawks impose a phantom president upon us and ask us to accept this as normal!

Tous les Gabonais, des enfants aux vieillards, savent que l'état de santé d’Ali Bongo laisse désormais peu de doutes quant à sa capacité à exercer le pouvoir. Mais à la tête de l’Etat, on nous joue une comédie qui cherche à le maintenir à la tête du pays, et prétendant que le bonhomme, invisible depuis plus de 2 ans, serait en fait pétillant de forme. Cette parodie n’amuse plus personne.

 

Il y a encore ici et là, quelques optimistes qui espèrent encore que le clan Bongo finirait bien par se ranger du côté de la raison, et reconnaitrait publiquement l’invalidité d’Ali Bongo et déclarerait la vacance du pouvoir et un processus de transition ouvert et transparent. A ceux-ci s’opposent la realpolitik des faucons du clan qui veulent coute que coute, conserver le pouvoir sans lequel, ils ne seraient rien.

 

Alors chers lecteurs, les faucons nous impose un président fantôme et nous demande d’accepter cela comme étant normal !
