for over 40 years, uranium and manganese to Eramet ,etc., etc. ; but the
spectacle presented by the country is a field of ruins. Retirees are demonstrating
to claim the payment of their pensions; there are strikes in all
administrations. Many private companies are closing.
The
only solution that the Bongo regime has found to put on the table is that of
holding another political dialogue, certainly to result in distribution of
government positions. There is nothing good brewing for an impoverished people
tired of this kind of comedy. If dialogues were the solution in Gabon, it would
be known because there have been many dialogues in Gabon, but the situation of the
Gabonese people has never improved.
Inviting
some people to a feast table does not solve any fundamental problem for the population.
On the contrary, it accentuates tendencies towards more personal rather than
collective considerations in the management of the state. This is the Bongo
system.

de ruines. Les retraités revendiquent le paiement de leurs pensions ; il y
a des grèves dans toutes les administrations. De nombreuses sociétés privées
ferment.
La seule solution que le régime Bongo a trouvé
à mettre sur la table, est celle de la tenue d’un autre dialogue politique,
pour certainement donner lieu au partage des postes. Il n’y a rien de bon qui
se prépare pour un peuple clochardisé et fatigué de ce genre de comédies. Si les
dialogues étaient la solution au Gabon, cela se saurait car il y a eu de
nombreux dialogues au Gabon, mais la situation des Gabonais ne s’est jamais améliorée.
Inviter les gens à la mangeoire ne règle
aucun problème de fond pour le peuple. Bien au contraire, cela accentue les
tendances aux considérations plus personnelles que collectives dans la gestion
de l’Etat. C’est cela le système Bongo.
