Between the fiscal years 2010 and 2020, the Gabonese government has managed more than 30,000 billion CFA francs of budget; and yet, in Gabon we do not see any structuring sector that has recorded significant progress that would match these colossal budgets.

 

Let us not forget that the very idea of modern governance is to help and serve the people and the country, and not simply to strengthen authoritarian regimes that limit the freedoms of the populations and whose apparatchiks monopolize the country's wealth. The Gabonese people are no more fools than others, and cannot just be asked to watch the world evolve elsewhere, and be silent about their own domestic condition.

Entre les années fiscales 2010 et 2020, le gouvernement Gabonais a géré plus de 30000 milliards de francs CFA de budget ; et pourtant, au Gabon on n’observe aucun secteur structurant ayant enregistré un progrès significatif qui serait à la mesure de ces budgets colossaux.

 

N’oublions pas que l’idée même d’une gouvernance moderne est d’aider et servir le peuple et le pays, et non simplement de renforcer des régimes autoritaires qui limitent les libertés des populations et dont les apparatchiks accaparent des richesses du pays. Les Gabonais ne sont pas plus dupes que les autres, et ne peuvent pas juste être priés de regarder le monde évoluer ailleurs, et se taire sur sa propre condition domestique.
