During this interview on Radio France Internationale, Jessye Ella-Ekogha, the Gabonese presidency spokesperson, asserted at the 1:20 minute, that the USA use a committee to lead the country in case of the incapacitation of the president. This affirmation is wrong and Jessye Ella-Ekogha is an ignorant impostor for having said that on international radio.

 

The US constitution is very clear in this matter. In fact, the 25th Amendment of that constitution, Section 1, Clause 6, states unequivocally that the vice president of the United States is the direct successor of the president, and becomes president if the incumbent is temporarily incapacitated, dies, resigns or is removed from office. This Twenty-fifth Amendment says absolutely clearly that if the US President becomes unable to do his job, the Vice President becomes the President. This can happen for just a few hours, a few days, or permanently.

 

Where did Jessye Ella-Ekogha get the information that the US has a disposition in its constitution where a committee might replace the president in an interim basis?

Lors de cet entretien sur Radio France Internationale, Jessye Ella-Ekogha, le porte-parole de la présidence gabonaise, a affirmé à la 1 :20 ième minute, que les USA utilisait un comité pour diriger le pays en cas d'incapacité du président. Cette affirmation est fausse et Jessye Ella-Ekogha est un ignorant imposteur pour avoir dit cela sur une radio internationale.

 

La constitution américaine est très claire à ce sujet. En fait, le 25e amendement de cette constitution, section 1, clause 6, stipule sans équivoque que le vice-président des États-Unis est le successeur direct du président et devient président si le titulaire est temporairement frappé d'incapacité, décède, démissionne ou est destitué de sa fonction. Ce vingt-cinquième amendement dit clairement que si le président américain devenait incapable de faire son travail, le vice-président devient le président. Cela peut se produire pendant quelques heures, quelques jours ou de façon permanente.

 

D'où Jessye Ella-Ekogha a-t-il obtenu l'information selon laquelle les États-Unis ont une disposition dans leur constitution selon laquelle un comité pourrait l’intérim de la fonction de président ?
