Alex Bongo, one of Ali Bongo's many brothers, has just been dismissed from the National Agency for Digital Infrastructures and Frequencies (Aninf), and transferred to the General Secretary of the Ministry of Communication, a post without a substantial budget and above all devoid of real power.

 

The new director of Aninf, the agency with authority over telecomminications and internet in Gabon, is Daniel Christian Rogombé, the eldest son of the late Rose Francine Rogombé, long time president of the Senate and who was acting president after the death of Omar Bongo, for a few months. He is also the brother of Madeleine Berre, the current Minister of Public Service.

 

Daniel Christian Rogombé comes from Sogec Gabon, a company doing subcontracting work for Gabon Telecom. His mission would be to deploy optical fiber in the rest of Gabon. In this mission, he will have as a partner the Frenchman Jean-Charles Solon, who heads the presidency’s telephone listening center, the Silam, and who since 2019 has been administrator of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and the Post office. He also sits on the board of directors of the Société de patrimoine des infrastructures Numérique (SPIN), which has authority over the connection of Gabon to large optical submarine cables.

 

This mission would have been entrusted to them by Noureddin Bongo-Valentin.

Alex Bongo, l’un des nombreux frères d’Ali Bongo, vient d’être écarté de l'Agence nationale des infrastructures numériques et des fréquences (Aninf), et muté au secrétariat général du ministère de la communication, un poste sans budget conséquent et surtout dépourvu de réel pouvoir.

 

Le nouveau directeur de l’Aninf, l’agence ayant autorité sur les télécoms et internet du Gabon, est Daniel Christian Rogombé, le fils aîné de feu Rose Francine Rogombé, longtemps présidente du Sénat et qui fut présidente par intérim après le décès d’Omar Bongo, pendant quelques mois. Il est aussi le frère de Madeleine Berre, l’actuelle Ministre de la Fonction Publique.

 

Daniel Christian Rogombé vient de Sogec Gabon, une entreprise faisant de la sous-traitance pour Gabon Telecom. Sa mission serait de déployer la fibre optique dans le reste du Gabon. Dans cette mission il aura pour partenaire le Français Jean-Charles Solon qui dirige le centre d’écoute téléphonique de la présidence, le Silam, et qui depuis 2019 est administrateur de l'Autorité de régulation des communications électroniques et de la post). Il siège également au conseil d'administration de la Société de patrimoine des infrastructures numériques (SPIN), ayant autorité sur le raccordement du Gabon aux grands câbles optiques sous-marins.

 

Cette mission leur aurait été confiée par Noureddin Bongo-Valentin.
