On January 21, 1793, the French revolutionaries and patriots who were to transform the French monarchy into a republic, decided to execute Louis XVI on the Place de la Révolution in Paris. The decision to close the monarchical regime found its logical outcome in the execution of Louis XVI on Monday, January 21, 1793.

 

The trial of Louis VI began on December 11, 1792. The deposed king, standing at the bar, heard the president of the tribunal address him: “Louis, the French nation accuses you. You will hear the reading of the enunciating act of the facts. Louis, sit down. "

 

Louis XVI was accused of inequality towards his people. In addition, he had fled to escape the guillotine and was arrested after this attempted escape. The deposed king was tried and condemned to death because the Revolutionaries wanted to prevent a return of the monarchy. To this end, Robespierre said: "Louis must die because the country must live." "

 

On January 20, 1793, Louis VI was given absolution by a priest, and the edge of the guillotine was checked and sharpened for a long time. The next day, the head of the monarch rolled and France could proclaim itself a republic.

Le 21 janvier 1793, les révolutionnaires et patriotes français qui allaient transformer la monarchie française en république, décidèrent d’exécuter Louis XVI sur la place de la Révolution, à Paris. Cette mise à mort fut le symbole rituel et sanglant qui marquait la fin de la monarchie et la fondation la République française. Au Gabon, au train où vont les choses, il va falloir dresser des potences pour nos néo-monarchistes.

 

Le 10 août et le 21 septembre 1792, les députés de l'Assemblée nationale française proclamèrent à la face du monde la suspension puis l’abolition de la royauté en France. La décision de clore le régime monarchique trouva son aboutissement logique dans l'exécution de Louis XVI, le lundi 21 janvier 1793.

 

Le procès de Louis VI débuta le 11 décembre 1792. Le roi déchu, debout à la barre entendit le président du tribunal s’adresser à lui : « Louis, la nation française vous accuse. Vous allez entendre la lecture de l'acte énonciatif des faits. Louis, asseyez-vous. »

 

Louis XVI est accusé d’inégalité envers son peuple. En plus, il s’était enfui pour échapper à la guillotine et fut arrêté après cette tentative de fuite. Le roi déchu fut jugé et condamné à mort car les Révolutionnaires voulaient empêcher un retour de la royauté. A cet effet, Robespierre dire: « Louis doit mourir parce qu'il faut que la patrie vive. »

 

Le 20 janvier 1793, Louis VI se fit donner l'absolution par un prêtre, et la lamelle de la guillotine fut vérifiée et longuement aiguisée. Le lendemain, la tête du monarque roula et la France pouvait se proclamer république.

 

Que de leçons pour le Gabon !
