Sam Allardyce

English version

Sam Allardyce, the manager of the English national football team, after only 67 days on the job, has been forced to resign, following revelations of a corruption scandal involving him, made by the Telegraph newspaper. The resignation took place exactly 24 hours after the revelation of the scandal. An interim manager was immediately appointed. In the West in general, ethics are important and when one deviates from them, they pay the price. This is not because Westerners have more morals, no; they are simply aware of the fact that corruption rottens the smooth running of society and it must be fought if progress is to be made.

Meanwhile, in Gabon, a man cheats grossly and obviously the result of the presidential election; bombs the headquarters of his rival who is the normal winner, killing dozens of citizens, ignoring the recommendations of the international community. His punishment? He is inaugurated as President of the Republic, and some find this normal.

Dear readers, if Sam Allardyce was Gabonese, he would still have his job; and what Ali Bongo is doing in Gabon, no country in the western world would tolerate that. This is why they have become what they are today, and we are what we are, that is to say, mired in mediocrity!
