Gabon Oil
Co, which operates the Mboumba oil field, previously owned by Total, is
reportedly seeking funding from the World Bank for its gas project.
Curiously,
for this project, the GOC enlisted the services of the company Arise Ports
& Logistics, an Olam subsidiary set up by Gagan Gupta.
The gas
development plan on the Mboumba field would be financed through the
establishment of a special mechanism, no details of which were provided in the
Africa Intelligence article.
