HOW TO BELIEVE IN ELECTORAL RETHORIC IN GABON? COMMENT CROIRE EN LA RÉTHORIQUE ÉLECTORALISTE AU GABON ?

English version

Our compatriot Jean-Gaspard Ntoutoume-Ayi is campaigning at the moment for the upcoming legislative election. This blog is against going to another election in Gabon, while the Bongo system remains in place. It is to foster this debate between us and those who would go to elections in Gabon in the current conditions, that we would like to ask this compatriot the following questions:

1) Is democracy spreading across Gabon or not? Does the Bongo regime respect citizens’ political freedoms and civil liberties?
2) Is Ali Bongo less of an authoritarian today? Is he ready to share any power? Is he not amending laws to extend his own terms of office?
3) Wouldn’t the next legislative election be another rubber stamp election?
4) Are you going to an election that is designed to help Ali Bongo?
5) Do you think that your parliamentarian position would allow you to change anything while the Bongos are in power?

That’s all for now

We will not give up!
