YET ANOTHER BAD NEWS FOR THE GABONESE OIL SECTOR. ENCORE UNE MAUVAISE NOUVELLE POUR LE SECTEUR PÉTROLIER AU GABON

According to the oil publication “Upstream”, the two deep water oil fields that had been drilled by Australia-based energy company, Woodside Petroleum Limited; have been deemed non-commercially viable.

These deep water oil fields were located between 2300 and 3000 meters off the Gabonese coast. Gabon’s oil ministry had announced that the exploitation of these fields would contribute in the revitalization of the oil sector in the country.

Selon la publication pétrolière "Upstream", les deux champs pétrolifères en eau profonde forés par la société énergétique australienne Woodside Petroleum Limited; ont été jugés non commercialement viables.

Ces gisements de pétrole en eau profonde étaient situés entre 2300 et 3000 mètres au large des côtes gabonaises. Le ministère gabonais du pétrole avait annoncé que l'exploitation de ces champs contribuerait à la revitalisation du secteur pétrolier dans le pays.
