The tipoye is a people held chair that was used by European settlers in Africa and Asia to be transported by the "natives".

The Bongo regime is customary of the exploitation and humiliation of the Gabonese people, so it is not surprising that its most central members would use this method of transport in contemporary Gabon, to sublimely explain to people that they are superior and dominant to them.

Le tipoye est une chaise à porteurs qui était utilisée par les colons Européens en Afrique et en Asie, pour se faire transporter par les « indigènes ».

Ce mode de déplacement des Européens dans le monde colonisé est connu comme étant l’un des clichés les plus tenaces de l'exploitation des peuples indigènes. Le régime Bongo étant coutumier de l’exploitation et de l’humiliation des Gabonais, il n’est donc pas étonnant que ses membres les plus centraux puissent utiliser cette méthode de transport dans le Gabon contemporain, pour expliquer subliminalement aux gens qu’ils leur sont supérieurs et dominants.

Se faire transporter en tipoye aujourd’hui devrait constituer une honte. Mais chez les Bongo, la honte et la mesure, on ne connait pas !

Ainsi va le Gabon !
