A reader of this blog just pointed to us that the Cameroonian novelist who has since refocused on lending her support to Africans dictators, calixthe beyala, on her Facebook page, says that the decision to designate Jean Ping as the single opposition candidate was taken in Paris. She certainly takes this position because she wants to inject into the minds of those who pay attention to her, that the Gabonese opposition is remotely controlled from Paris. When we know how Ali Bongo came to power, we can only laugh!

For this blog, without giving her too much time, it is about simply reminding Mrs. Beyala that the process of nomination of a single candidate of the opposition had been asked by the free civil society of Gabon for years, and that discussions were undertaken in this direction with important opposition candidates under the leadership of someone few Gabonese would describe as a Françafrique agent, the University Professor Albert-Ondo Ossa, who also escaped no too ago, an assassination by Ali Bongo’s death squads, by stabbing, in the middle of the day, in Libreville in the presence of his daughter.

It is the free civil society in Gabon that asked for this unique candidacy and it is a result of negotiations held in Libreville that the other important opposition candidates aligned themselves behind Jean Ping, who had taken the lead furrowing Gabon for 2 years and runing a de facto campaign of proximity to the population.

Un lecteur de ce blog vient de nous signaler que la romancière Camerounaise qui s’est depuis reconvertie dans le soutien aux dictateurs Africains, Calixthe Beyala, sur sa page Facebook, affirme que la décision de faire de Jean Ping le candidat unique de l’opposition ait été prise à Paris. Elle prend certainement cette posture pour vouloir injecter dans l’esprit de ceux qui font attention à elle, que l’opposition Gabonaise soit téléguidée par Paris. Quand on connait la manière dont Ali Bongo a accédé au pouvoir, on peut en rire !

Il s’agit pour ce blog, sans lui accorder trop de temps, de tout simplement rappeler à Madame Beyala que le processus de désignation d’une candidature unique de l’opposition était demandé par la société civile libre du Gabon depuis des années et que des discussions furent entreprises en ce sens avec les candidats importants de l’opposition, sous la houlette d’un monsieur que peu de Gabonais qualifieraient d’agent de la Françafrique, le Professeur d’université Albert Ondo-Ossa, qui par ailleurs avait échappé il n’y a pas longtemps à un assassinat par les escadrons de la mort d’Ali Bongo, à coups de poignard, en plein milieu de la journée, à Libreville en présence de sa fille.

C’est donc la société civile libre du Gabon qui a demandé de cette candidature unique et c’est suite à des tractations tenues à Libreville que d’autres candidats importants de l’opposition se rallient à Jean Ping qui avait pris de l’avance en sillonnant le Gabon depuis 2 ans et en faisant de facto une campagne de proximité auprès des populations.

Maintenant, espérons que Madame Calixthe Beyala fera plus attention aux faits ; il en va de ce qui reste de sa réputation.
