The general view is that the two Ali Bongo ministers, Régis Immongault and Madeleine Berre, did not cover themselves in glory during the program "The African Debate" on RFI. Our readers are unanimous on the fact that Jean-Gaspard Ntoutoume-Ayi flew over the debate and walked all over these ministers of the republic who seemed lost and unable to organize a coherent and precise defense of Ali Bongo’s record.

But this blog wonders if the mission assigned to these ministers was not impossible; that is to say, if Ali Bongo is such an unsaleable product that anyone trying at all to engage in his marketing, would appear ridiculous because reality is too much against him. We are therefore faced with the classic problem of the chicken and the egg: which created the other?

1. Is the Ali Bongo product so politically radioactive that anyone wanting to touch it becomes contaminated with its stain and appears also shabby by contagion?

2. Is the Ali Bongo’s team so disorganized and incompetent, that it is unable to provide better results than what we see?

For this blog, the truth is that both assumptions are true: Ali Bongo is at a policy management level that simply is hopeless and those who serve him, despite some formations here and there, are not worth much better collectively. So we end up with a situation where a lousy president sends his ministers often lacking substantial capacity, to defend his dismal record. Should we, can we expect anything other than what we saw with Régis Immongault and Madeleine Berre? There can be no miracle; the record is the record. When there is nothing, there is nothing and they have to stammer.

The Bongo era is ending before us. Ministers cannot do anything about the lack of concrete results at economic and social levels, the absence of a positive outlook, and corruption cases with the arrests in Paris of Maixent Accrombessi (still in office) and Seydou Kane. All is aligning for Ali Bongo to be a bad memory after August 2016.

One even gets the impression that some Ali Bongo’s ministers, aware of his outright failures against the expectations of most Gabonese, really no longer believe it; hence their inability to defend an indefensible record that is catastrophic.

De l’avis général, les deux ministres d’Ali Bongo que sont Régis Immongault et Madeleine Berre, ne se sont pas couverts de gloire lors de l’émission « Le Débat Africain » sur RFI. Nos lecteurs sont unanimes sur le fait que Jean Gaspard Ntoutoume-Ayi ait survolé le débat et se soit baladé au dépend de ces ministres de la république qui semblaient perdus et incapables d’organiser une défense cohérente et chiffrée du bilan d’Ali Bongo.

Mais ce blog se demande si la mission assignée à ces ministres n’était pas impossible ; c'est-à-dire, si Ali Bongo soit un produit tellement invendable que toute personne s’essayant à tout marketing à son actif, apparaitrait totalement ridicule car la réalité étant trop en sa défaveur. Nous nous trouvons donc face à la classique problématique de la poule et de l’œuf : qui créé l’autre ?

1. Le produit Ali Bongo est-il si politiquement radioactif que toute personne voulant le toucher se retrouve contaminée de cette souillure et apparait comme minable par contagion ?

2. L’équipe d’Ali Bongo est-elle si mal organisée et incompétente, qu’elle soit incapable de fournir des résultats meilleurs que ce que nous constatons ?

Pour ce blog, la vérité est que les deux hypothèses sont vraies : Ali Bongo est d’un niveau de management politique simplement désespérant et ceux qui le servent, malgré quelques formations ici et là, ne valent pas collectivement bien mieux. On se retrouve donc avec une situation où un président minable envoie ses ministres souvent dépourvus de capacités conséquentes, défendre son bilan pitoyable. Doit-on, peut-on s’attendre à autre chose que ce que nous ont servi Régis Immongault et Madeleine Berre ? Il n’y a pas de miracle possible ; le bilan c’est le bilan. Quand il n’y a rien, il n’y a rien et on est obligé de balbutier.

L’ère Ali Bongo est en train de prendre fin en direct devant nous. Les ministres ne peuvent rien devant l’absence de résultats concrets au niveau économique et social, l’absence de perspectives positives, et les affaires de corruption avec les arrestations à Paris de Maixent Accrombessi (toujours en poste) et Seydou Kane. Tout concourt à ce qu’Ali Bongo ne soit plus qu’un mauvais souvenir après Aout 2016.

On a même un peu l’impression que certains ministres d’Ali Bongo, conscients de ses échecs patents vis à vis des attentes de la majorité des Gabonais, n’y croient plus vraiment; d’où leur incapacité à défendre un bilan impossible à défendre tellement il est catastrophique.
