Gabon has been under the leadership of the Bongo’ since 1967; that is 53 years. This is a long time!

 

By any measure, any honest observer would not have any issue with concluding about Gabon, that after 53 years of Bongo rule, the levels of trust the Gabonese people have in their institutions, in their political systems, and in one another; are in precipitous decline.

 

Dear readers, when social trust collapses, the consequence is that nations fail and crumbles.

 

Currently, everywhere, the preponderance of the Gabonese people shows every sign that they are disgusted by the state of their society; their trust in its institutions has plummets; and their moral indignation is widespread. Their contempt for the established power and those who are its representatives is intense.

 

A highly motivated Gabonese generation is appearing on the scene. They are using new modes of communication to seize control of the national debate. Groups formerly kept outside of the decision quarters are now rising up and asking to take over their destiny.

 

Now, as we enter a period of convulsion having to do with Ali Bongo’s incapacitation to continue to rule the country, this regime, it appears, has clearly reached the end of its course. It is game over; the regime has nothing left to offer or to propose. No one believes in them anymore; least of all themselves; and they know it.

 

It is the end; this regime must go!

Le Gabon est sous la direction des Bongo depuis 1967; c’est-à-dire 53 ans. Cela fait bien longtemps !

 

Dans tous les cas, tout observateur honnête n'aurait aucun problème à conclure au sujet du Gabon, qu'après 53 ans de pouvoir Bongo, le niveau de confiance des Gabonais dans leurs institutions, dans leurs systèmes politiques et envers leurs compatriotes ; sont en déclin précipité.

 

Chers lecteurs, lorsque la confiance sociale s'effondre, la conséquence est que les nations s’effritent et s'effondrent.

 

Actuellement, partout, une prépondérance du peuple gabonais montre tous les signes qu'il soit dégoûté par l'état de sa société ; sa confiance dans ses institutions a chuté ; et son indignation morale est généralisée. Son mépris pour le pouvoir établi et ceux qui en sont les représentants, est intense.

 

Une génération gabonaise très motivée a fait son apparition. Elle utilise de nouveaux modes de communication pour prendre le contrôle du débat national. Des groupes autrefois tenus en dehors des centres décisionnels se lèvent maintenant et demandent à reprendre leur destin en main.

 

Aujourd’hui, alors que nous entrons dans une période de convulsion liée à l’incapacité d’Ali Bongo de continuer à diriger le pays, ce régime, semble-t-il, a clairement atteint la fin de son parcours. C'est game over; le régime n'a plus rien à offrir, ni à proposer. Plus personne n'y croit; pire, eux-mêmes en premiers; et ils le savent.

 

C'est la fin; ce régime doit disparaître!
