THE CLOSURE OF THE LAND BORDERS IS THE FIRST BATTLE OF THE WAR BETWEEN SASSOU-NGUESSO AND MOHAMMED VI, FOR GABON! LA FERMETURE DES FRONTIÈRES TERRESTRES EST LA PREMIÈRE BATAILLE DE LA GUERRE ENTRE SASSOU-NGUESSO ET MOHAMMED VI, POUR LE GABON !

 English version

Gabon is a country without leadership. The Gabonese are now an infantilized people. The Gabonese have been weakened by half a century of Bongo power. Gabon is now a ripe fruit that anyone can come and pick. There are two contenders for the harvest: King Mohammed VI of Morocco and Denis Sassou-Nguesso of Congo.

Mohammed VI has a strategy of economic and political expansion of Morocco in Sub-Saharan Africa. Gabon is the Trojan horse that Morocco would like to use to advance in Sub-Saharan Africa. To this end, Mohammed VI has relied on his trusted man Ali Bongo since 2009. With the incapacitation of Ali Bongo, Mohammed VI only trusts Sylvia Valentin and her son Noureddin Bongo, for the preservation of his many interests in Gabon. This group relies on Mborantsuo, to help them maneuver the Gabonese political sociology and Rose Christiane Ossouka-Raponda, who owes her appointment to Mborantsuo. In the board of this group, only Mborantsuo knows Gabon; Rose Christiane Ossouka-Raponda is just a hanger on without any real power.

Sassou-Nguesso by placing his daughter to Omar Bongo, with whom he did not necessarily have a good relationship at the start, wanted to strengthen the sustainability of the Sassou's hold in Congo Brazzaville, by eliminating the risk of Gabon to support his opponents, as we saw at the outset with the support given to Pascal Lissouba by certain people close to Omar Bongo, such as the Myboto family. His daughter having died, Omar Bongo too, an incapacitated Ali Bongo presents Sassou with the unique opportunity to install a member of his family at the head of Gabon, his grandson Omar Dennis Junior.

Sassou therefore launched his grandson to run for the succession of Ali Bongo, by making high-profile forays into Haut-Ogooué, the province the Bongos use as stepping stones. These incursions unsettle the Bongo-Valentins because they are in fact strangers to the local culture, unable to blend into the deep Haut-Ogooué. Sassou as a master manipulator, tells the Haut-Ogooué people that his grandson is one of them, in the face of impostors from the Sahara and Biafra who use them.

To help his grandson cast a wide net, Sassou is deploying a strategy that begins in Haut-Ogooué, then continues in the Estuary with Alexandre Barro-Chambrier who shouldn't have too much trouble convincing Myénè and Fang groups to follow him; to finally finish in Woleu-Ntem where Alexandre Barro-Chambrier will remind the populations that his grandchildren are of Bitamese mother. In Woleu-Ntem, Sassou and Chambrier can count on the help of the Essangui of Mongomo, Théodoro Obiang-Nguema, who would like to get rid of the Ali Bongo clan to finally invest openly in Oyem, where his father was from. It should be noted that Omar and Ali Bongo have always refused to allow Obiang to take an interest in Woleu-Ntem.

For Sassou, his grandson will be pushed towards the presidency, but the driving force would be Barro-Chambrier who will select Gabonese intellectuals to surround Bongo Junior. In such a situation, many think that Barro-Chambrier could be prime minister; this blog believes that Barro-Chambrier will be Sassou's shadow man, either as secretary general of the presidency or as chief of staff to the president.

The last link in Sassou's deployment in Gabon is his team in Ngounie / Nyanga, which will rely on the Mboussou family. Sassou's calculation is as follows: if his grandson rounded up Haut-Ogooué, and Barro-Chambrier delivers the Estuary, Woleu-Ntem and Ogooué-Maritime to him; and the Mboussou hand over Ngounie and Nyanga to him; the Bongo-Valentins will only have 3 provinces left.

As you can see, Sassou wants to occupy the ground very quickly. The King of Morocco is totally powerless against such a strategy, because in Gabon, he relies only on Sylvia Bongo and Mborantsuo. But what can these two ladies do? When Bongo Junior made his foray into Haut-Ogooué, Sylvia Bongo reacted by asking her man Michael Moussa to close the borders, but Bongo Junior continued his tour and even left the territory without problem. It was not until the next day that Mborantsuo asked her Home Office official to issue a qualifying statement.

Dear readers, for us who no longer want to see the Bongos in power in Gabon, there is serious work ahead of us, in order to prevent these two tendencies of the same monarchy from finally burying us.
