English Version

While the Gabonese religious establishment prepares to join Ali Bongo and members of his regime, for a day of prayer on Sunday, 1st February 2015; it seems appropriate to us to reproduce, to the attention of all the religious Gabonese who accommodate the dictatorship; the letter written by Martin Luther King on 16 April 1963, from his prison cell, in response to 8 white pastors who accused him of threatening peace in the USA and therefore asked him to give up his fight for civil rights and to align himself on the order of things at that time; which was for these white pastors the normal and desirable social order. The Gabonese clerics are like these 8 white pastors to whom Martin Luther King was answering and the contents of this letter should give them food for thought.
