English Version

In a normal country, with a balanced division of tasks and independent institutions, one would expect that the intellectuals, that is to say philosophers, sociologists, historians, writers, academics etc., would explain and decipher for us the events taking place in our country. But given the broth of imposture in which the Gabonese people bathe, given the resigned intellectuals who dare not preserve the people the regime’s misinformation; it is urgent for us to write this story and dedicate appropriately the rendering of events because not doing so would leave the field to the impostors to mislead. When a president has false papers, everything can be a shame!

When the eviction of the impostors who are still ruling Gabon will become effective, a date should be considered as the starting point of a new "liberating" attitude by the people of Gabon: 28 April 2015. That day, in fact, the people of Gabon shattered the myth that they were unable to break the chains of oppression and to win against the dictatorship. We even saw a determined and united Gabonese people, negate the regime’s futile attempts to orient in a direction that would be favorable to them, the organization of the funeral of André Mba Obame. The 28 April 2015 marked the arrival in Libreville from Yaoundé, of the body, lifeless but how full of meaning, of André Mba Obame.

On 28 April 2015, without directives from hypothetical leaders, the fable of the Gabonese exception, maintained by the supporters of the established order, by fans of sycophancy and of the acceptance of imposture, was totally demolished by a population that was self-organized, self-financed and self-disciplined, to stand against the advocates of darkness. On 28 April 2015, the Gabonese people usually so docile, suddenly became very dangerous for the regime, holding their head up, and systematically defeating all the maneuvers of the regime to dictate what to do about the funeral of André Mba Obame.

On 1 May 2015, during the actual departure of the body of André Mba Obame to Oyem in Woleu-Ntem, the regime cracked by responding with violence against the people who dared to challenge them; a way for the regime to let the Gabonese people know that the price of its uprising against injustice and dictatorship remains very high. But it' is too late for that regime, because since 28 April 2015, the Gabonese people have fatally cracked the totalitarian edifice in place in Gabon that the proponents of the established order considered invulnerable. But the Gabonese people have demonstrated since 28 April 2015, that they were now prepared to demonstrate, even dangerously, their rejection of the hegemony of arbitrariness in Gabon; that neither the police intervention, nor arbitrary arrest or intimidation of any kind, would be enough to make them change course.

Changing of mindsets is now perceptible in Gabon; but it is also the result of the fight by many compatriots who have literally sacrificed themselves to overcome the shackles of predisposition preventing the emancipation of citizens long imprisoned in the game of shame of finding to be normal what is loathsome and repugnant! Today more than ever, the Gabonese people showed that they were ready to assume the handling of their destiny. The power remains paradoxically in the hands of political and military people who have never been known for their Republican spirit. The spark that enabled the Gabonese people to demonstrate their sovereignty was the organization of the funeral of André Mba Obame. Without any preconceived strategy, but with unwavering determination, the contagion of the republican and citizen spirit was quick and efficient. But repression as usual, was blind. Nonetheless the violence has only strengthen the will of the Gabonese people to get rid of that antiquated dictatorship that lives its last moments.

Ali Bongo continues to reveal himself as being nothing more than a violent and depraved despot, who relies on the supposed passivity of the Gabonese people to remain in power. But on 28 April 2015, the Gabonese people signaled their enthusiasm for the long-awaited desire for change. To collude with the very people we claim to be fighting, will now be perilous. The Gabon is becoming free; 28 April 28 2015 was a catalyzing date.
