THE REGIME REVEALS ITS LACK OF CULTURE BY RAILING AGAINST THE FUNERAL MASS AND THE DRAPING OF ANDRÉ MBA OBAME’S COFFIN WITH NATIONAL COLOURS. LE RÉGIME RÉVÈLE SON MANQUE DE CULTURE EN S’INSURGEANT CONTRE LA MESSE FUNÉRAIRE ET LE DRAPAGE DU CERCUEIL D’ANDRÉ MBA OBAME AUX COULEURS NATIONALES

English Version

The Ali Bongo regime continues to show itself negatively after André Mba Obame burial in his native Medouneu. We can say without risk of error that the people were more than right to keep the holders of power away from his casket; because even after the burial, we remark that the regime insistently continues to want to get closer to the grave, or to punish those who kept them out away of the coffin. In the words of one of our diligent and perceptive readers, these people wanted something, and as the people stopped them, they are now lost and continue lapping around the tomb looking to accomplish their mischief.

There were multiple flybys over André Mba Obame’s grave by regime’s helicopters, coming and going, turning around, making suspicious maneuvers. So much so that reinforcements were sent from Libreville, to organize the protection of the grave around the clock, because the risk of desecration for fetishistic purposes is real, since the regime could not get what it wanted during the funeral. One of our elders claimed that the regime wanted to make of André Mba Obame’s body, what Bongo the father made of the body of Germain Mba, which many knowledgeable people, including Pierre Péan, say to have served for evil rites. This time, the people said no, it's over, that's enough! What is the purpose of these helicopters, if not to do field reconnaissance that could be used in the planning of a military extraction operation of this coffin for an unknown destination? You think this is exaggerated? Remember that Ali Bongo is power-hungry and ready to go to any excess to perpetuate it; proof: they killed André Mba Obame to eliminate any competition!

Then there is the governor of the province of Woleu-Ntem, Jean Gustave Meviane Menghouang who recently summoned Monsignor Jean Bernard Asseko Mve, to inform him of the threats of his department, the Interior Ministry, because of his celebration of the funeral Mass of André Mba Obame, despite the warning of not to do so. This inquiry makes a mockery of the principle of secularity of the State of Gabon which cannot therefore dictate anything to a religious order, in matters relating to faith. The Gabonese Catholic church depends only on the Vatican and despite the almost merger between Basil Mve and the regime, the church is supposed to receive no orders from the regime in Gabon. Secularism implies the religious neutrality of the State and public institutions in the practice of religion, and the clear separation between the State and religious institutions. A regime that is said to be secular must guarantee the freedom of conscience of citizens, the separation between the State and organized religion and the neutrality of the State in the functioning of churches and places of worship. By declaring a vendetta against Monsignor Jean Bernard Asseko Mve, the regime proves that he thwarted their plans that were to organize something with the body of André Mba Obame. But this time, the people said niet! Religious and courageous people such as Bishop Jean Bernard Asseko Mve opened the church doors to André Mba Obame, while Basile Mve wanted them closed after the refusal of the people to deliver the remains of Andre Mba Obame for a "feast" in Sainte Marie! If the regime does not want a secular State, it should say so clearly!

Finally, for the burial, Andre Mba Obame’s coffin was wrapped in the Gabonese flag, which has put the regime in a tizzy, as evidenced by the caricature of a statement by the ministry of Defense that we publish above. When one does not even know the attributions of the republic, are they worth leading it? Such a lack of culture at the head of the country is amazing, because the symbols of the Republic which are: the national anthem, the flag, the motto, the seal and coat of arms, the Independence Day etc., belong to all citizens. There is no prohibition in the Gabonese law asking any citizen to refrain from being buried with the Gabonese flag; no law proscribes it. However, the regime has violated the law by changing without referendum or parliamentary approval, the arms of the country and this has not been decried by the wolves howling today because André Mba Obame was buried with the flag of the country. We point to these hypocrites that in in France, some victims of the attacks against Charlie Hebdo and Hyper Cacher were buried with their coffin covered with the French flag, without this being the object of obfuscation by the French Ministry of Defense. In Egypt, Palestine, Israel, South Africa, the USA and in many other countries, it is common for citizens to be buried with their flag. That is an expression of patriotism and citizenship! Every citizen is free to express their attachment to their country until their final resting place. If nothing prohibits a Gabonese citizen to fly the national colors on the roof of their house; what is prohibiting the same citizen to be buried with them?

Ah these ignorant who lead us!
