Severe fatigue was the State lie that was used upon the Gabonese people to hide the violent stroke Ali Bongo had just suffered, on Wednesday, October 24, 2018.

 

While the whole planet could have access to the images showing the Bongo family arriving in Luanda, published on the website of the presidency of the Angolan Republic, the Gabonese authorities still denied this truism, even writing in L'Union that Sylvia and her son remained incarcerated in Libreville’s prison.

 

Then, all shame consummated, they paraded their Prosecutor General of the Court of Appeal of Libreville, Mr. Eddy Minang, who came to tell us another state lie similar to the previous one: "Sylvia and Noureddin Bongo would have been released for medical reasons".

 

This lie is so ridiculous because when we look at the habits of the Ali-Sylvia Bongo couple, if they have to be treated, it is most certainly not Angola that would be their choice of destination for this purpose. The similarity to the reason for severe fatigue is obvious.

 

The problem with state lies is that they carry significant consequences for the functioning of a healthy society and the trust between citizens and their government. When the state lies, it erodes the public's trust in its institutions, leaders, and information. Citizens become more cynical and less likely to believe anything the government says, even when it's the truth. Lies can exacerbate existing social divisions by creating alternative narratives and fueling distrust between different groups within society.

 

As we saw with the Severe fatigue excuse in 2018, lies are ineffective and even harmful in the long run, because people always find out what the truth is.

 

We already knew that the C’BON regime was routinely lying about economic data, specifically the country’s debt. Now we have evidence that they have blatantly lied about the exfiltration of the Bongo family. We can therefore infer that they are lying also about a lot of many other things.

La fatigue sévère, ce fut le mensonge d’Etat qui fut servit aux Gabonais pour cacher le violent AVC dont venait d’être victime Ali Bongo, le mercredi 24 octobre 2018.

 

Alors que toute la planète pouvait avoir accès aux images montrant la famille Bongo arrivant à Luanda, publiées sur le site de la présidence de la République Angolaise, les autorités Gabonaises niaient toujours cette lapalissade, en faisant même écrire dans L’Union que Sylvia et son fils demeuraient incarcérés à la prison de Libreville.

 

Puis toute honte bue, ils ont paradé leur Procureur General de la Cour d’Appel de Libreville, Monsieur Eddy Minang, qui est venu nous assener un autre mensonge d’Etat semblable au précédent : « Sylvia et Noureddin Bongo auraient été libérés pour des raisons médicales ».

 

Ce mensonge est tellement ridicule car quand on connait les habitudes du couple Ali-Sylvia Bongo, s’ils doivent se faire soigner, ce n’est très certainement pas l’Angola qui serait leur choix de destination à cet effet. La similitude avec la raison de fatigue sévère est évidente.

 

Le problème avec les mensonges d'État est qu'ils ont des conséquences importantes sur le fonctionnement d'une société saine et la confiance entre les citoyens et leur gouvernants. Lorsque l'État ment, il érode la confiance du public dans ses institutions, ses dirigeants et ses informations. Les citoyens deviennent plus cyniques et moins enclins à croire ce que dit le gouvernement, même lorsque c'est la vérité. Les mensonges peuvent exacerber les divisions sociales existantes en créant des récits alternatifs et en alimentant la méfiance entre les différents groupes au sein de la société.

 

Comme nous l'avons vu avec l'excuse de la fatigue sévère en 2018, les mensonges sont inefficaces et même nuisibles à long terme, car les gens découvrent toujours la vérité.

 

Nous savions déjà que le régime de C'BON mentait régulièrement sur les données économiques, en particulier sur la dette du pays. Nous avons maintenant la preuve qu'ils ont menti de manière flagrante sur l'exfiltration de la famille Bongo. Nous pouvons donc en déduire qu'ils mentent aussi sur beaucoup d'autres sujets.
