ALI BONGO ON RFI, OUR REPLY. ALI BONGO SUR RFI, NOTRE RÉPONSE

English Version

Ali Bongo was interviewed by Alain Fonka, on his program "The African debate", aired on Sunday, 11 January 2015. Since the program did not give to the audience the opportunity to comment and confront the claims made by Ali Bongo, we here do that exercise.

RFI question "Why the Heads of African States to Paris to march, when such killings take place in Africa and we do not see the same heads of state travel?"

Ali Bongo’s answer "We expressed our indignation. Just look at the press releases, we had meetings ... This is a suggestion, I am noting it and I will talk with my colleagues.”

Commentary by Annoying Gabon: The truth is that Ali Bongo wanted, as an opportunist, to seize the occasion of this tragedy, to ingratiate himself to the international community and France, by participating in a march from which he hoped to gain dividends from world leaders. His objectives are not fooling anyone.

RFI question: "Are you Gabonese, are you Bongo father's son?"

Ali Bongo’s answer: "What is laughable and sad ... the Gabonese people expect another debate than the origins of the president. Origins, they know. The Gabonese saw me be born and grow up."

Commentary by Annoying Gabon: No, the debate about the parentage of Ali Bongo is important for the Gabonese people and needs to be thoroughly explored because the country's constitution is very specific on the eligibility for the presidency, which Ali Bongo is clearly in violation of. In addition, Ali Bongo is lying when he says that the Gabonese people saw him being born and grow up in Gabon, as he has to resort in making fake photo montages to justify a presence in Gabon or among Gabonese before 1968. Lying so shamefully on RFI is what is laughable and sad!

RFI question: "On the birth certificates, on the copies, how it was done on the document that was used to be a candidate, this birth document that came out of the town hall of the 3rd district?"

Ali Bongo’s answer: "First it is for them to show that I'm not who I am ... I've got a family, my family recognizes me as such."

Commentary by Annoying Gabon: When one used a false document to run for president, the demonstration of their imposture can be considered to have been made. When one is sure of their parentage, they do not represent it by using false documents. Also, it is not the opinion of the Bongo family that determines who is eligible for the presidency; but the country's constitution. The Gabonese people do not need the Bongos opinions on this issue.

RFI question, "Why these disturbing documents?"

Ali Bongo’s answer: "But these are fake documents, we do not have to go back to that. Simply one thing needs to be remembered. Small minds discuss people. The Gabonese want to know what they are being provided with, the program that one has for the development of the country. "

Commentary by Annoying Gabon: Having exhausted all attempts to make people accept these false documents as true ones, Ali Bongo has finally admitted that the documents he submitted in his candidacy application were false. As his dirty trick did not work, he is now trying to want to turn the page and ask for people to ignore this monumental fraud. But no, the Gabonese people will not let go until and will take this process to its end that should lead to the destitution of imposture. It's too late, the time to be accountable has arrived.
