A recent interview by Noureddin Bongo, titled "'I was treated horribly': Noureddin Bongo, son of Ali Bongo, speaks about torture, betrayal and hope," has been published by a British medium called The Standard.

In this interview, he discusses his experiences from childhood, education, family life, and then the circumstances of the coup.

He specifically talks about the torture and betrayal his family has suffered and takes aim at C’BON.

However, the reaction of predictable oliguists is very contorted. One the one end, they are the ones telling us that the Bongo-Valentins were criminals, and committed numerous acts of embezzlement; then they say that C’BON was right to free them before any trial ; they on the ultimate other hand, they complain when these criminals they freed are talking to media.

This blog has always been consistent : there should have been a truth and reconciliation commission in Gabon, and the Bongo-Valentins should have stood trial. But we got none of that from the Gabonese authorities. Instead, they swept everything under the rug.

So , dear readers, why are the oliguists mad that the Bongo-Valentins are speaking out ? What did they expect when they freed them ?

Une récente interview de Noureddin Bongo, intitulée « 'I was treated horribly': Noureddin Bongo, son of Ali Bongo, speaks about torture, betrayal and hope », a été publiée par un média britannique appelé The Standard.

Dans cette interview, il évoque son enfance, son éducation, sa vie de famille, puis les circonstances du coup d'État.

Il parle spécifiquement de la torture et de la trahison subies par sa famille et s'en prend à C'BON.

Cependant, la réaction des oliguistes prévisibles est très alambiquée. D’un côté, ce sont eux qui nous disent que les Bongo-Valentin étaient des criminels et qu’ils ont commis de nombreux actes de détournement de fonds ; de l’autre, ils affirment que C'BON a eu raison de les libérer avant tout procès ; et d’un autre côté encore, ils se plaignent lorsque ces criminels qu'ils ont libérés s'adressent aux médias.

Ce blog a toujours été cohérent : il aurait dû y avoir une commission de vérité et de réconciliation au Gabon, et les Bongo-Valentin auraient dû être jugés. Mais nous n'avons rien eu de tout cela de la part des autorités gabonaises. Au lieu de cela, ils ont mis toute l'affaire sous le tapis.

Alors, chers lecteurs, pourquoi les oliguistes sont-ils en colère du fait que les Bongo-Valentin s'expriment ? À quoi s'attendaient-ils en les libérant ?
