THE PDG’S SPINOFF HAS BEEN LAUNCHED! LA PROGÉNITURE DU PDG A ÉTÉ LANCÉE

C’BON launched his political party today; a spinoff of the PDG in its organization, leadership and ways of functioning.

 

This blog thinks that it's accurate to say that the Union Démocratique des Bâtisseurs (UDP) is deeply intertwined with, and represents a significantly reshaped PDG which had rules Gabon from 1968 to 2023; to the point where on paper, it almost looks like a "spin-off" of the PDG in terms of its membership, its structure, and the way its relies on loyalties to those in power.

 

The UDP party explicitly emerges from the PDG. Many important figures of the PDG have recently resigned from the PDG to join the UDP. It is likely that these people would function in the UDP, in the same way they have done within the PDG. The cult of personality is likely to be the norm, given that C’BON intends to be an emperor.

 

This blog thinks that strategically, C’BON has decided to capture the entire political space by creating his own well-financed UDP and have the PDG as its friendly opposition. Both parties will then occupy the largest of political landscape, because they will both be well financed, and the other parties will have to occupy the political margins.

C’BON a lancé son parti politique aujourd'hui; une émanation du PDG dans son organisation, son leadership et ses modes de fonctionnement.

 

Ce blog estime qu'il est juste de dire que l'Union Démocratique des Bâtisseurs (UDB) est profondément liée au PDG, qui a gouverné le Gabon de 1968 à 2023, et en représente une version significativement remaniée. À tel point que, sur le papier, elle ressemble presque à une "émanation" du PDG en termes d'adhésion, de structure et de sa manière de s'appuyer sur les loyautés envers les détenteurs du pouvoir.

 

Le parti UDB descend explicitement du PDG. De nombreuses figures importantes du PDG ont récemment démissionné du PDG pour rejoindre l'UDB. Il est probable que ces personnes fonctionneront au sein de l'UDB de la même manière qu'elles l'ont fait au sein du PDG. Le culte de la personnalité sera probablement la norme, étant donné que C'BON a l'intention d'être un empereur.

 

Ce blog pense que, stratégiquement, C'BON a décidé de capter l'ensemble de l'espace politique en créant sa propre UDB bien financée et en faisant du PDG son opposition amicale. Les deux partis occuperont alors la majeure partie du paysage politique, car ils seront tous deux bien financés, et les autres partis devront se contenter des menues marges politiques.
