THE MARCH OF THE VOLUNTARILY SERVANTS. LA MARCHE DES SERVITEURS VOLONTAIRES

Before this Saturday, May 11, 2013, where opposed in many conversations, two ideas characterizing the narrative and understanding the Gabonese had of thetwo announced marches against ritual crimes that are endemic in Gabon:

1. Some argued that Sylvia Bongo’s march was of a symbol and an opportunity of unity that should be embraced by everyone, even by the most skeptical as this blog which distrusted it because we found it insincere. Those pushing this idea even spoke of an opportunity of symbiosis between Sylvia Bongo and the forces demanding a free Gabon, since participating in one or the other of the two marches was deemed to act for the same purpose.

2. Others, and it is in this camp that this blog stood, arguing that Sylvia Bongo should have been avoided like the plague because her march was a propagandist choreography for intoxication purposes aimed at washing away the red blood reputation this evil regime continues to have.

Then, inexorably, came May 11, 2013. Sylvia Bongo’s march was held, and the T-shirts were distributed; transportation of marchers like livestock was guaranteed, sandwiches and refreshments too. Everything was almost there, yes everything, except the visible expression of the victims. Two banners were prominently announcing the march and were at the effigies of the two sponsors of this march, Sylvia Bongo and her husband Ali Bongo. You would have looked in vain for a banner with pictures and names of the victims. The officials of the ALCR were relegated to the role that was theirs in this charade, as rent a minion for the time of a march. We wondered where these people had put their dignity by agreeing to behave like common low-cost Gabonese who are made to jump around for chicken rump.

Meanwhile, still on this Saturday 11 of May 2013, this time around-Nzeng Ayong, free Gabonese citizens wanted, far from the glitz and hypocrisies, have a simple tribute to the dead of ritual crimes and seek in all sincerity that justice be finally done. But the regime had decided that the day should belong to Sylvia Bongo and no other march on behalf of ritual crimes was to be allowed to take place, without the explicit approval and political recovery by the lady of heart. Because they wanted to march, these free Gabonese citizens were dispersed with tear gas. Several arrests of leaders of the free civil society were made, and even a journalist from Radio France International had to be arrested for covering the march that was absolutely not to take place according to the regime.

To all the voluntary servants of the dictatorship in place in Gabon, this blog says: shame on you! To all those who claimed that the two marches represented an opportunity for Gabonese from all sides to transcend, to be above policies and ideologies, to rise to a unitary action, we say shame on you! For your calls finally were only directed at the free Gabonese, as the regime that is now your ally, could not transcend its violent tendencies, or its penchant for repression when it decided to disperse the peaceful marchers of Nzeng Ayong. May these voluntary servants tell us why their friends who now want to end ritual crimes were afraid of the Nzeng Ayong’s march? What was the disruptive effect of the Nzeng Ayong march? Is it because this march could have best highlighted the hypocrisy of the regime? Shame on you!

Dear readers, what needs to be remembered about this Saturday, May 11, 2013, is that we saw the crash of two oppositional entities, the regime and their voluntary servants one side and the free Gabonese citizens on the other. We now know that the two are mutually exclusive of each other. Anyone who would come to you in praise or in proposing the merits of an intermediate position could not wish us well. Always keep your eyes open, we had warned you!

Avant ce samedi 11 Mai 2013, s’opposaient sur bien des espaces de discussion, deux idéologèmes caractérisant la narration et compréhension que les gabonais faisaient des deux marches annoncées contre les crimes rituels qui sont endémiques au Gabon:

1. Certains soutenaient que la marche de Sylvia Bongo revêtait un symbole et opportunité unitaire qui devait être embrassée par tous même par les plus sceptiques comme ce blog qui s’en méfiait car la considérant non sincère. Ceux qui poussait cette idée allant même jusqu'à parler d’opportunité de symbiose entre Sylvia Bongo et les forces exigeant un Gabon libre, dans la mesure où en participant à l’une ou l’autre des deux marches, on œuvrait pour la même finalité.

2. D’autres, et c’est dans ce camp que se situait ce blog, arguant qu’il fallut s’éloigner de Sylvia Bongo comme de la peste car sa marche n’était qu’une chorégraphie propagandiste à des fins d’intoxication pour laver encore plus blanc la réputation de sanguinaire rouge-sang qui poursuit ce régime immonde.

Puis inexorablement, le 11 Mai 2013 arriva. La marche de Sylvia Bongo eu lieu; les T-shirts furent distribue, les transports du bétail marcheur garantis, les sandwiches et rafraichissements aussi. Tout y était presque, oui tout, sauf l’expression visible des victimes. Deux banderoles annonçaient la marche et elles étaient frappées des effigies des 2 sponsors de ladite marche, Sylvia Bongo et son époux Ali Bongo. Vous auriez cherché en vain une banderole avec les photos ou les noms des victimes. Les responsables de l’ALCR étaient relégués au rôle qui était le leur dans cette mascarade, celui de sous fifre à louer le temps d’une marche. On se demandait où ce beau monde avait rangé sa dignité en acceptant de se comporter comme de vulgaires gabonais low-cost à qui on fait faire des simagrées pour un croupion de poulet.

Pendant ce temps, toujours ce Samedi 11 Mai 2013, cette fois du côté de Nzeng-Ayong, les gabonais libres voulaient, loin des paillettes et des hypocrisies, rendre un hommage sobre aux morts des crimes rituels et demander an toute sincérité que justice soit enfin faite. Mais le régime avait décidé que la journée devait appartenir à Sylvia Bongo et qu’aucune autre marche au nom des crimes rituels n’avait le droit de se tenir sans l’approbation explicite et la récupération définie de la dame de cœur. Pour avoir voulu marcher, ces gabonais libres ont été dispersés à coup de gaz lacrymogènes. Plusieurs arrestations de leaders de la société civile ont été opérées; même un journaliste de Radio France Internationale a du être conduit au gnouf pour avoir couvert cette marche qui ne devait absolument pas se tenir selon le pouvoir.

A tous les serviteurs volontaires de la dictature en place au Gabon, ce blog dit : honte à vous ! A tous ceux qui prétendaient que les deux marches représentaient l’occasion pour les gabonais de tous bords de se transcendentaliser, de se situer au-dessus des politiques et des idéologies, de s’élever pour une action unitaire, nous disons : honte à vous ! Car vos appels n’allaient finalement que dans le sens des gabonais libres, vu que le régime qui est votre désormais allié, n’a pas pu transcender ses tendances violentes, ni son penchant pour la répression quand il a fallu disperser les marcheurs pacifiques de Nzeng Ayong. Que ces serviteurs volontaires nous disent pourquoi leurs amis du pouvoir qui veulent désormais en finir avec les crimes rituels ont eu peur de la marche de Nzeng Ayong. Quel était l’effet gênant de la marche de Nzeng Ayong ? Est-ce parce que cette marche risquait de mieux mettre en évidence les hypocrisies du pouvoir ? Honte à vous !

Chers lecteurs, ce qu’il faut retenir de ce samedi 11 Mai 2013, est que nous avons assisté au fracas de deux entités oppositionnelles, le régime et leurs serviteurs volontaires d’un côté et les gabonais libres de l’autre. Nous savons désormais que ces deux entités sont exclusives l’une de l’autre. Toute personne venant nous chanter les louanges ou mérites d’une position intermédiaire ne pourrait nous vouloir du bien.
