THEY ASK US: YOU WHO ARE CONTESTING, WHAT IS YOUR PROGRAM? ILS NOUS DEMANDENT: VOUS QUI CONTESTEZ, QUEL EST VOTRE PROGRAMME ?

Dear readers, the nervousness and skittishness of the Gabonese government become increasingly palpable as the New York Forum Africa approaches. It must be said that the withdrawal of American filmmaker Spike Lee seems to have affected them a bit. This withdrawal has been indeed widely reported on the web; much so that our two articles on the subject, our post asking Mr. Lee not to come to Gabon and the subsequently one thanking him for having listened to the Gabonese people, have both been at the time of this writing, visited on our blog by more than 140,000 readers. Added to this, the campaigns of the other sites, NGOs and one can easily imagine that millions of people have been made aware of the cries of free Gabonese who do not want their money to be used for Ali Bongo’s trivialities.

Still unprepared to deal with the latent intellectual rebellion imposed upon them by free Gabonese, the Ali Bongo regime which accumulates mistake after mistake, from violations of human rights to the rot of bad governance, through the profiteering at the top of the state, general tribalism causing widespread chaos in the management of public affairs, is not even able to put up a semblance of a coherent response to the arguments made by the free Gabonese in letters sent to potential participants to the New York Forum Africa.

Some supporters of the regime have made the reproach to us of wanting to "smear" the image of the country by publishing these letters. But we have kindly told them that if they found the contents of the letters false, they should publicly identify these errors to us; until the time of this writing, they have been unable to do so. By way of an answer, they say, "and you who contest the regime, what is your plan for Gabon? What is your program? "

This reaction of the supporters of the regime does not surprise us because we simply note that those in power in Gabon do not even notice that the social organization they created in the country, which remains in place, does not respond to and will never meet the basic needs of Gabonese people. Free Gabonese tell them that the system they are so attached too, which is obsessed with fraud and corruption, is obsolete and may lead the country to an unprecedented social and political chaos. It has become obvious, but to supporters of the regime, that a new paradigm would see the light of day only if this suffocating system disappeared. A new paradigm that places the needs of the people at the center of concern. This will involve the use of the country natural resources in the production and distribution of goods and services to the population in the most rational manner possible.

In fact it is a revolution in political and social attitudes that the free Gabonese citizens are proposing. A change in the socio-economic environment within which we operate in order to generate healthier behaviors and finally lead to a more just and equitable country.

Given this posture by the free Gabonese citizens, some of our compatriots on the side of the regime only have the propensity for brutal repression against those who express different views to theirs. They are in disarray because they see the shaking their certainties and it follows that these people prefer to feed and lock themselves up in darkness. It does not matter to these people to offer an argument or a call to reflection. No, they only react by accusations and calls for threats and arrests. But this attitude does not help the progress of popular thought or the emancipation of the Gabonese people.

To those who accuse us of "wanting to get rid of the Bongos without a real program," We answer that we understand their distress because they are prisoners of ideas and political methods developed by their puppeteers; that is to say, the absolute defense of the established order, the anesthesia of thoughts which consists in the abandonment of the bottom line and hold on to the form. For this blog, at the risk of grieving some compatriots, the shackles of the current routine and intellectual laziness must be combated and eliminated because intellectual rebellion and upheaval of political behavior are essential necessities. It is the development of a real citizen power with in the end the access to sovereignty for our people who require it.

Chers lecteurs, la nervosité et la frilosité du régime gabonais à l’approche de son New York Forum Africa devient de plus en plus palpable. Il faut dire que le désistement du cinéaste américain Spike Lee semble leur avoir porté un coup. Ce désistement a en effet été largement relayé sur la toile; à telle enseigne que nos deux articles sur le sujet, notre publication du billet demandant à M. Lee de ne pas venir au Gabon et le billet subséquemment le remerciant d’avoir écouté le peuple gabonais, ont tous les deux au moment où ces lignes sont écrites, été visités sur notre blog par plus de 140000 lecteurs. Il faut y ajouter les campagnes des autres sites et des ONG et on peut facilement imaginer que des millions de personnes aient été interpellées par les cris des gabonais libres qui ne veulent pas que leur argent soit utilisé aux futilités d’Ali Bongo.

Toujours aussi mal préparé à faire face à la rébellion intellectuelle latente que lui imposent les gabonais libres, le régime Ali Bongo qui accumule erreur après erreur, allant des violations des droits de l'homme à la gangrène de la mal gouvernance, en passant par l'affairisme au sommet de l'Etat, le tribalisme généralisé et causant le chaos dans la gestion de la chose publique; ne parvient même plus à opposer une semblance de réponse cohérente aux arguments faits par les Gabonais libres dans les correspondances adressées aux potentiel participants au New York Forum Africa.

Certains des partisans du régime nous ont fait le reproche de vouloir « salir » l’image du pays en publiant ces lettres. Mais nous leur avons gentiment fait comprendre que s’ils trouvaient le contenu de ces lettres faux, qu’ils nous en relèvent publiquement les erreurs ; jusqu’au moment où nous écrivons ces lignes, ils ont été incapables de le faire. En guise de toute réponse, ils nous disent : « et vous qui contestez, quel est votre plan pour le Gabon ? Quel est votre programme ? »

Cette réaction des partisans du régime ne nous étonne pas, car nous constatons simplement que les tenants du pouvoir au Gabon ne s’aperçoivent même pas que l'organisation sociétale qu’ils ont créée dans le pays et qui reste en vigueur, ne répond pas et ne répondra jamais aux besoins fondamentaux des gabonais. Les gabonais libres leur disent que ce système auquel ils sont si attachés, obnubilé par la fraude et la corruption, est obsolète et risque de mener le pays à un chaos social et politique sans précédent. Il devient évident, sauf aux partisans du régime, qu'un nouveau paradigme ne pourra voir le jour que si ce système suffocant disparaissait. Un nouveau paradigme qui placera la satisfaction des besoins des populations au centre des préoccupations. Ceci impliquera l'utilisation des ressources naturelles du pays à la production et distribution des biens et services à la population, de la manière la plus rationnelle possible.

En fait c’est une révolution des comportements politiques et sociaux que proposent les gabonais libres. Un changement de l'environnement socio-économique au sein duquel nous évoluons afin d'engendrer des comportements plus sains et qui conduisent enfin à un pays plus juste et équitable.

Face à cette posture des gabonais libres, certains de nos compatriotes tenants du pouvoir ont pour seule propension que la répression brutale à l’encontre de ceux qui expriment des points de vue différents aux leurs. Ils sont dans le désarroi de voir s’ébranler leurs certitudes et il en résulte que ces gens préfèrent se nourrir et s’enfermer dans l’obscurantisme. Il n’est pas question pour ces gens de proposer une argumentation ou un appel à la réflexion. Non, ils ne réagissent que par des harangues accusatrices, et des appels aux menaces et arrestations. Mais cette attitude n’aide ni au progrès de la pensée populaire ni à l’émancipation du peuple gabonais.

A ceux qui nous accusent de : «vouloir chasser les Bongo sans avoir de véritable programme», Nous répondons comprendre leur désarroi car ils restent prisonniers des conceptions et des méthodes politiques conçues par leurs marionnettistes ; c'est-à-dire la défense absolue de l’ordre établi, l’anesthésie de la pensée qui consiste à délaisser le fond et s’agripper à la forme. Pour ce blog, quitte à chagriner certains compatriotes, les carcans de la routine actuelle et la paresse intellectuelle, doivent être combattus et abolis car la révolte intellectuelle et le bouleversement des comportements politiques sont d’incontournables nécessités. C’est le développement d’un véritable pouvoir citoyen avec à la clé l’accès à la souveraineté pour nos populations qui l’exigent.
