Cette expression est une métaphore pour dire que l’on est souvent trahi ou abandonné par ceux dont on attend le plus de soutien, et ce, très rapidement.

 

Chers lecteurs, dans le Gabon contemporain, cet adage n’a jamais été autant d’actualité. En effet, qui au Gabon, en dehors de Maixent Accrombessi, a plus reçu des Bongo-Valentin que Brice Laccruche-Alihanga ? Au Gabon, après l’AVC d’Ali Bongo, Brice Laccruche-Alihanga a été président du pays par procuration.

 

C’est ce même Brice Laccruche-Alihanga qui mit sur pied l’AJEV et plaça ses membres à la tête de toutes les importantes institutions du pays, avec pour mot d’ordre de siphonner financièrement ces institutions et faire remonter les fonds vers Brice Laccruche-Alihanga.

 

Chers lecteurs, ce même Brice Laccruche-Alihanga nous dit aujourd’hui qu’il fut celui qui s’opposa en interne aux velléités monarchiques des Bongo-Valentin et que c’est cela qui lui a valu la prison. En résumé, il fut du bon côté de l’histoire avec nous le bas peuple et ce sont les Bongo-Valentin qui étaient les méchants.

 

Mais l’attitude de Brice Laccruche-Alihanga est un phénomène souvent observé quand les régimes autoritaires tombent. L'idée est que le pouvoir d'une dictature repose sur un système de soutien et de coercition, mais aussi sur l'apparence d'une force inébranlable et inévitable. Lorsque ce pouvoir s'affaiblit, les fidèles du régime, souvent motivés par l'intérêt personnel, la peur ou l'opportunisme, sont les premiers à se désolidariser et se mettre à la disposition des nouvelles autorités, en se présentant comme des victimes de la dictature au même titre que ceux qu’ils oppressaient hier.

 

Quand on regarde ce qui se passe au Gabon, on doit reconnaitre á Alain-Claude Billie-By-Nze, son sens de l’honneur car il est aujourd’hui le seul acteur politique important du régime déchu qui n’a pas renié les Bongo-Valentin qu’il a servi. Oui, en politique tous les coups sont permis, mais quand Brice Laccruche-Alihanga vient se présenter á nous comme une victime du clan Bongo-Valentin, la couleuvre devient trop grosse pour être avalée.
