You may have read somewhere in the last few days that one in five people in Gabon is an immigrant and that Gabon is the country with the most immigrants proportionally in Africa. The graph above was even presented to you as scientific proof of this claim.

Dear readers, here is the link to the site from which this graph is said to be taken. But you will never find this table on that site. Moreover, this blog tried to find out where this graph came from, and bizarrely, we found that:

1.      The graph provided by the Oliguists indicates that it comes from World Population Review, as stated at the bottom of the image. However, you will not find it on their website.

2.      worldpopulationreview.com regularly publishes various demographic data and graphs, often based on estimates from the UN and other reliable sources, but the exact graph published above does not exist there.

3.      In the search bar, we searched for terms such as "immigrant population Africa 2024" or "migration statistics Africa." Again, nothing at all.

Dear readers, it is possible that the graph was created or adapted by another entity and credited to World Population Review. If so, the Oliguists should let us know.

Vous avez certainement lu quelque part ces derniers jours, qu’un habitant sur cinq au Gabon était un immigre et que le Gabon était le pays où il y avait le plus d’immigrés proportionnément en Afrique. Le graphe ci-dessus vous a même été servi comme preuve scientifique de cette affirmation.

 

Chers lecteurs, vous avez ici le lien du site dont il est dit que ce graphe est tiré. Mais seulement, vous ne trouverez jamais ce tableau sur ce site. En plus ce blog a cherché à savoir d’où venait ce graph et bizarrement, nous avons trouvé que :

 

1.      Le graphique fourni par les Oliguistes indique qu'il provient de World Population Review, comme indiqué au bas de l'image. Cependant, vous ne le trouvez pas sur leur site Web.

2.      worldpopulationreview.com publie régulièrement diverses données et graphiques démographiques, souvent basés sur des estimations de l'ONU et d'autres sources fiables, mais le graphique exact publié ci-dessus, n’y existe pas.

3.      Dans la barre de recherche nous avons recherché des termes tels que « population immigrante Afrique 2024 » ou « statistiques migratoires d'Afrique ». Là encore rien du tout.

 

Chers lecteurs, il est possible que le graphique ait été créé ou adapté par une autre entité et crédité à World Population Review. Si c’est le cas, les Oliguistes doivent nous le faire savoir.
