After granting the French company Veolia 20 years of monopoly through the privatization of the Societe d'Energie et d'Eau du Gabon, Gabon terminated this contract in 2018 and asked Veolia to leave the country.

But curiously, this same Gabonese government which accused Veolia of incompetence in the management of water and electricity in Gabon, has just hired Henri Proglio, the ex-CEO of Veolia, as a consultant for the management of SEEG. Go figure!

According to Africa Intelligence, it was Nourredin Bongo who retained the services of Henri Proglio. The latter would now have all the country's economic sectors in hand.

Après avoir accordé à la société française Veolia, vingt ans de monopole via la privatisation de la Societe d’Energie et d’Eau du Gabon, le Gabon résilia ce contrat en 2018 et demanda à Veolia de quitter le Pays.

Mais curieusement, ce même gouvernement gabonais qui accusa Veolia d’incompétence dans la gestion de l’eau et de l’électricité au Gabon, vient d’engager Henri Proglio, l’ex-PDG de Veolia, comme consultant pour la gestion de la SEEG. Allez- comprendre !

D’après Africa Intelligence, c’est Nourredin Bongo qui a retenu les services d’Henri Proglio. Ce dernier aurait désormais en main tous les dossiers économiques du pays.
