Olam, after having been ostensibly present alongside the dictatorship for 10 years now, tries to conceal its presence in Gabon and therefore isolate itself from possible financial reprisals, by having its Gabonese assets put under the thumb of a shell company called Arise.

Arise includes: Arise Ports & Logistics; Arise Infrastructure; and Arise Industrial.

To settle in Gabon, Africa Intelligence tells us that Olam relied on former French officials. Olam’s French advisers are:

-Okan, founded in 2011 and led by Amaury de Féligonde who is a former employee of the French Development Agency (AFD).

-ADIT, led by François Mitterrand's former Africa advisor, Bruno Delaye.

-Linklaters, this law firm is headed by Bertrand Andriani. It was the lawyers of Linklaters who masked Olam's shares in the Gabon Special Economic Zone, and made it possible for Olam to become free from any financial ties with Gabon. A situation where if Olam’s businesses were to crumble in Gabon, it’s Gabon that would suffer all the repercussions.

Olam, après avoir été ostensiblement présente aux côtés de la dictature depuis 10 ans maintenant, essai de dissimuler sa présence au Gabon et donc de s’isoler d’éventuelle représailles financières, en ayant placé ses avoirs gabonais sous la coupe d’une société écran baptisée Arise.

Pour s’installer au Gabon, Africa Intelligence nous apprend qu’Olam s’est s'appuyé sur des ex fonctionnaires Français. Les conseillers français d’Olam sont :
