English Version

Dear readers, in a recent article in Le Monde, claiming to present documents proving that one Alain Bongo was born in Brazzaville, Congo, in 1959; and had been seen in Gabon before 1968, one of the pictures exhibited presented some members of the Teale family accompanied by a small French girl on the left and on the right of the photo was Josephine Bongo and the one presented as Alain Bongo.

The members of the Teale family should object of the use of their name in something as disastrous, because this photo has been faked, retouched and mounted to append the characters on the right to those of the left. Unfortunately, the editing was done poorly and thanks to one of our readers, highly efficient and competent in optical analyses, who was able to demonstrate inconsistencies in pixels, the topography of the brightness and contrast in various parts of the picture, we can show you in an absolutely indisputable way that this photograph is a fake.

1. The image composition

The composition of the picture, from the clothing of the Teale family members, to that of the French girl, suggests that the main photo was taken during the winter. This is confirmed when looking at the backdrop trees that have no leaves. It is winter. But while everyone is dressed warmly; Josephine Nkama is wearing in a light dress with high chest, shoulders and back open; furthermore, she is wearing shoes that resemble sandals or open-toes. Josephine Nkama accoutrement does not fit with the atmosphere of the photo.

2. The boot on the left foot of the African girl was deleted

To attach the right side to the left side of the photo, it was necessary to cut somewhere and the counterfeiters had to amputate part of the girl’s left foot to make ends meet.

3. The shadow of the little boy pants

The angle of the sun's rays reflected off the kid’s pants is different from that of the other people in the photo

4. The right arm of the boy was added

The magnification of the image shows that this part of the photo is an addition. The contrast is different from the rest of the photo, and the addition was done in the same vertical axis as the one that severed the left foot of the girl. This demonstrates that a linkage was done at this juncture.

There are other details demonstrating that the photography is a fake, there is the hair of the African girl that has been retouched, and the left side of Papa Teale’s chest which has been deliberately blackened up to hide something. Definitely a cut was made at this juncture. But dear readers, the proof of forgery and use of it has been made sufficiently and builds on the earlier ones. It is not finished, there will be others.
